The cards are the fun part.
The business should make that possible.

The business underneath trading cards, built by people who still love the cards.

Make the business underneath the hobby work, so the hobby gets to stay fun.

Nobody gets into trading cards because they love shipping labels. Then the eBay account starts doing numbers, a table at a show turns into a shop, and one day somebody needs to run the thing. Most of what surrounds the cards at that point is friction: a spreadsheet for inventory, a marketplace for selling, a notes app for what you paid, and memory for everything else.

Pulltrader is the system underneath that. Every card gets a cost, a location, and a next move. Every sale shows what you kept. Old inventory gets louder instead of quieter. The work that never needed your judgment gets done for you, and the work that does stays yours. Whether you vend on weekends or run a shop with payroll, the questions barely change. The tools finally answer them.

Our core values

These principles guide how we build, make decisions, and show up for collectors, sellers, and shops—every day.

Hobby First

Protect what makes the hobby human. Build systems around everything else. Every decision we make is measured by whether it gives the people running trading card businesses more room for the parts they actually love. Collect what you love.

Transparency Builds Trust

Collectors and shops deserve to know where they stand. Fees you can read, payouts you can trace back to the card, and a clear line between what the market did and what we think about it.

Empower the Shops

Local card shops are the backbone of the hobby. We exist to help them build a business that gets stronger every time it grows, without handing their customers or their data to someone else's platform.

Build with Purpose

Every feature has to earn its place by removing work that never needed a person. We don't build for hype. We build for Monday morning.

Meet the Founder

Ryan Gonzales

Ryan Gonzales

Founder & CEO

Ryan has collected cards most of his life and sold them for years. He built most of his own vending business on consignment before buying much inventory outright, and built his own tools along the way because nothing that existed did what he needed. Spreadsheets first, then dashboards, then a platform. That is where Pulltrader came from.

Before that he spent twenty years building the machinery businesses run on, at companies including The Walt Disney Company and FedEx and at startups of his own. Five-time founder, two exits. He wrote Profit Aware about the business underneath the cards.

Note from our CEO

Pulltrader started the same way a lot of collecting journeys do: with genuine love for the hobby—and frustration with how hard it was to operate within it.

I've been a collector my whole life. Pokémon, Magic, sports cards—I've spent years buying, selling, consigning, and trying to make sense of marketplaces that weren't built for people like me. I ran inventory through spreadsheets, managed payouts manually, dealt with unclear fees, and learned the hard way where trust breaks down in this space.

Pulltrader exists because it didn't feel like collectors and sellers had infrastructure that actually respected how the hobby works. Everything felt fragmented or stacked against the smaller operator. So we decided to build the tools we wished existed—starting with consignment, expanding into marketplace infrastructure, and layering in real intelligence to help people make better decisions.

We're building Pulltrader for collectors who want to take the next step, for sellers who want clarity and control, and for shops that deserve modern tools without enterprise complexity. We're still early, and we're intentional about how we grow—but the goal has always been the same: make this easier, fairer, and more transparent for everyone involved.
