How we value trading cards
Our card values are estimates built from real sales — first-party Pulltrader transactions and sold comparables — never guesses. We only publish a value when the evidence clears a quality bar, and we always show our work.
What goes into a value
- Sold comparables, not asking prices. We aggregate completed sales, not active listings.
- A minimum sample size. We don’t publish stats computed from fewer than 3 sales — below that, the number isn’t trustworthy.
- Privacy by design. Aggregates that could be traced back to a single seller are withheld (k-anonymity).
- Clear sourcing. Every value names its source and effective date, and third-party data is only shown where we have the rights to.
What a value is not
These are estimates of recent market activity for trading cards — not an appraisal, not an offer to buy or sell, and not financial advice. Markets move; a card is only worth what a buyer will pay.
